Boomer’s Health Crisis

This really worries me, and I guess it is too late to do something about it now.  I know that preventative health care is best, you know, eating healthy and exercising, not smoking, or drinking too much.  I am pretty healthy, but who knows what will happen in the future?  I’m at an age now where I need to think about these things because unfortunately I can’t go back in time and wipe away my previous unhealthy life style.  Yes, I had fun in college, and drank a bit too much, and ate a lot of junk food.  It was simpler, you know?  Of course I’m much healthier now, but now there is the Long-term care insurance factor that looms on the horizon.  Long term health care is a good investment because people are living longer now, and you never know when you’ll need it.  Some insurance providers won’t even cover long term health care needs.  I used to think my husband’s insurance covered long term health care, but apparently it doesn’t, so now we have to look into it.  I certainly don’t want to have to sell my house, or burden my kid’s in having to sell it, in order to pay for nursing home care when I’m old.
